Egg and Bacon

I look for turkey bacon with no nitrates or nitrites and the least amount of other additives. If you can find bacon with less sodium, try that. My routine is to cook the whole package of bacon when I first buy it and keep the slices in the freezer. Just grab a couple of pieces and warm them up for a quick and easy breakfast, a great way to get your morning protein.

Also watch the ingredients in the bread for toast. Bread can be loaded with too much sugar and preservatives. I check the ingredients on EVERYTHING these days!!

Add a banana or orange or both to round out the meal and get a dose of Vitamin C from the Orange or Potassium from the Banana. No need to check the ingredients here!!

Nutritional Benefits: Poaching is a healthier way to prepare your eggs since there is no frying involved and is so easy with a poaching pan. Poached eggs are my favorite!!

Eggs are an excellent source of choline and a good source of high-quality protein, vitamin B12, phosphorus and riboflavin. I’ve read that brain development and memory may be enhanced by the choline content of eggs.
