This spectacular photo was taken by my little brother near my hometown on the Northern Oregon Coast. I’ve been working non-stop for over a year now and today I decided to stop and take a deep breath. Please enjoy these images of the beach near where I grew up.
The Peter Iredale is a ship that ran aground on October 25, 1906 along the Oregon coast near Fort Stevens. This wreckage is one of the most easily reached shipwrecks in the Graveyard of the Pacific, the nickname for a stretch of coast where weather conditions and coastal features have caused a number of wrecks.
