I just love this photo from my hometown! My little brother sent it to me a couple of days ago and it reminded me of summers growing up at the beach on the Northern Oregon coast. We’ve begun a hot streak here in the city near Portland and seeing this image had me dreaming of a cool ocean breeze and an awe-inspiring sunset like this one.
Today the weather forecast is for 90°, which is a bit too much for me, so thank goodness for air conditioning. When I look at this pic and imagine standing at the edge of the massive Pacific Ocean, I see the beauty and vastness of the sea and that makes me infinitely aware of God’s presence. This photograph is spectacular!
My novel Heart Seasons takes place in a fictional coastal town and was inspired by my own hometown. I was born just four blocks from the beach and always feel drawn to the sea. Who knows, maybe I’ll live near it again one day!
May I recommend my fiction novel Heart Seasons either for yourself or as a gift. Heart Seasons: A Journey of Miracles is a spiritual, inspirational fictional story based on real life events and it is my pleasure to share it with you!

Yes, that’s true. When I stand at the edge of the water it’s actually somewhat overwhelming, but calming at the same time. The power, the grace, the energy make an impression on you.
