I try to find some thankfulness each day because it lifts me up and I think it benefits my health. When we are going through tough times though, it can be harder to think of things to be grateful for, but I still try. Fortunately, right now, in the middle of personal devastation, I have something huge to be thankful for. It is a gift for Hubby and me, and I want to share it with you.
As I shared previously in my post, “A New Season Has Begun and It’s A Shocker!”, I was diagnosed with cancer and have been receiving Chemotherapy. I also talked about a CT Scan I would undergo on November 11th. Well, we’ve received the results of that scan and we couldn’t be happier. The report shows the cancer is not only NOT spreading, in fact it is diminishing. I feel God’s grace in this report and want to thank everyone for your support and prayers.
This wonderful news comes during the Thanksgiving season, the perfect time to receive God’s blessings and I wholeheartedly accept it. Every step forward is a win for Hubby and me, and we are obviously very grateful. Thank you, God!
I find myself, at times, wondering why this shocking illness needs to be a trial of mine, but this Bible Verse, sent to me a few days ago, helps me understand it.
“Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.”
